  • What is a Cuban tourist e-visa?Open or Close

As its name suggests, the Cuban E-visa is an online visa without a physical document. Once you have applied for a visa, you will receive a code with which you can register as a traveler within the 7 days prior to your departure to Cuba.

  • Who requires a Cuban tourist visa?Open or Close

All persons traveling to Cuba for tourism purposes require a tourist visa. Airlines will not allow you to board if you do not have one. Please note that all persons, including infants, will need to apply for a tourist visa prior to their trip unless they have a passport from a nation that has a visa waiver agreement with Cuba.

The Cuban Immigration Service has provided a list of countries whose citizens are not required to obtain tourist visas. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of this information. Therefore, if you are a citizen of any of the countries listed, we recommend that you contact the nearest Cuban Embassy or Consulate to verify. Please note that if you obtain a tourist visa and later discover that it is not required, we regret to inform you that refunds will not be possible. Countries whose citizens can travel without a visa are:

Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Barbados, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Dominica, Georgia, Grenada, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Namibia, North Macedonia, Russia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Serbia, Singapore, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.

It should also be noted that there are restricted nationalities that cannot enter Cuba with a tourist visa. These nationalities will not be able to place visa orders online.

  • How far in advance should I apply for my visa? / Does my airline ask me when my visa expires?Open or Close

  • What nationalities can apply for the Cuba e-Visa?Open or Close

Most people can apply for a visa through our site. If you are eligible, you will be able to select your citizenship from the drop-down menu on the application form and continue with your application. We are unable to provide visas to passport holders from the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

This list is updated periodically by the Cuban Consulate, however, we cannot guarantee its accuracy or updating, so if your nationality does not appear on our website when placing an order, it means that a restriction has been placed and you cannot apply for a visa through this procedure.

Citizens of these countries must formalize their application with the Cuban consular authorities. Contact us for more information.

  • Do I need to pre-book accommodation to apply for a visa?Open or Close

Please note that in the case of private accommodation, it MUST be licensed by the Cuban government.

If you are unsure about this, please contact your hosts and ask them to confirm this; we will not be held responsible for any situation that may arise due to your staying in unlicensed accommodation.
